sandraSandra Wedig, DVM, DABVP (Feline Specialist)

Dr. Sandi graduated from the University Of Wisconsin School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She then worked at a small animal clinic in Wisconsin Rapids before moving to Sun Prairie. In 2000, she founded the small animal portion of PVA.

An avid cat lover, Dr. Sandi has a special interest in feline medicine and surgery. In 2013 she was certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in Feline Practice. To qualify to sit for the extensive, two-day examination, a veterinarian must complete either a residency program or six years of clinical veterinary practice. In addition, two case reports, references, descriptions of practice procedures, and professional education records must be submitted and pass review. For more information about ABVP, please visit www.abvp.com.

In addition to membership in the state (WVMA) and national (AVMA) veterinary medical associations, she is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), Cornell University Feline Health Center, International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM) and the American Heartworm Society.

When not at work, Dr. Sandi enjoys spending time with her son, Carson, two cats, and dog at her home in the town of Bristol.
